The ant is part of a beautifully intricate and delicate community that is connected to their entire ecosphere. The human is detached from Nature, and thus creative practices and social theories regarding the ant colony can be utilized to cultivate activism for consciousness of the Anthropocene. I use human disconnection to Nature to explain the social behavioural similarities between that of the human and ant through the lens of contemporary jewellery. The childlike exploration between the blend of ants and humans through jewellery pieces can create a positive environment that questions what it means to be a social creature in an Anthropocentric environment.
